Cynthia Bourgault talks about this at length in her book, "Mary Magdalene: Discovering the Woman at the Heart of Christianity." This "son of men" is that person who lives beyond the duality of reaction and sedation emptying themselves within life, fully human yet surrendered to God. "One" might mean celibate or married, in a religious community or not. When "two become one,"the person has fully embraced a way of living, a way of moving through the world in love that gives and gives and gives till it merges into "one."

I listen to Jesus. Does that mean to say I'll become like him? No... to "drink from my mouth" is to live in his breath, his very breath, to breathe as he breathes, as Mary Magdalene breathed. I don't know how to do that. I still get out of breath sometimes.
